RF & COMMUNICATIONS ENGINEER

Ares Industries is a defense technology startup aiming to be the weapons prime of the 21st century. We are focused on delivering cutting-edge missile systems and building the critical weapons that the U.S. and its allies need to prevent global conflict. Our team is a group of aerospace nerds and engineers who believe in the power of engineering to shape geopolitics. At Ares, you will work in a high-intensity, engineering-driven environment where rapid iteration, real-world testing, and mission impact take priority over bureaucracy.

Ares is seeking an RF & Communications Engineer to develop secure, jam-resistant datalinks for missile telemetry and command links. This role will focus on RF hardware development, signal encryption, and frequency management to ensure robust communication in contested environments. The ideal candidate has expertise in RF signal processing, antenna design, and software-defined radios (SDRs).

Key Responsibilities:

-- Design and integrate RF communications systems for missile command and telemetry.

-- Develop secure, jam-resistant datalinks with encryption and frequency hopping.

-- Conduct RF testing, antenna placement optimization, and signal analysis.

-- Ensure compliance with military RF standards and ITAR regulations.

-- Work with avionics and software teams to integrate networked communication protocols.

Qualifications:

-- 4+ years of experience in RF engineering, secure communications, or telemetry systems.

-- Strong knowledge of RF signal processing, modulation schemes, and antenna design.

-- Experience with software-defined radios (SDRs), datalink encryption, and frequency hopping.

-- Familiarity with military RF standards (MIL-STD-461, STANAG, and Link-16 protocols).

Preferred Experience:

-- Hands-on experience with missile telemetry, SATCOM, or low-probability-of-intercept (LPI) radios.
