STRUCTURAL ENGINEER

Ares Industries is a defense technology startup aiming to be the weapons prime of the 21st century. We are focused on delivering cutting-edge missile systems and building the critical weapons that the U.S. and its allies need to prevent global conflict. Our team is a group of aerospace nerds and engineers who believe in the power of engineering to shape geopolitics. At Ares, you will work in a high-intensity, engineering-driven environment where rapid iteration, real-world testing, and mission impact take priority over bureaucracy.

Ares is seeking a Structural Engineer to design and analyze high-G missile structures that can withstand extreme acceleration, aerodynamic forces, and environmental conditions. This role involves working with composites, lightweight alloys, and advanced bonding techniques to develop durable, high-performance airframes. The ideal candidate has expertise in shock, vibration, and fatigue analysis for high-dynamic environments.

Key Responsibilities:

-- Perform stress analysis for missile fuselage, structural reinforcements, and composite skins.

-- Conduct shock, vibration, and fatigue simulations to validate launch survivability.

-- Develop reinforced bulkheads, stiffeners, and structural joints for optimized load paths.

-- Work with manufacturing teams to ensure precision assembly of bonded and bolted structures.

-- Support flight testing and real-world validation of structural durability.

Qualifications:

-- 4+ years of experience in structural engineering for aerospace, defense, or UAVs.

-- Strong understanding of high-G loading, dynamic stresses, and vibration analysis.

-- Experience with composite and metallic structural optimization.

-- Proficiency in finite element analysis (FEA) using Abaqus, Nastran, or ANSYS.

Preferred Experience:

-- Experience with missile, UAV, or aerospace vehicle structures.

-- Hands-on experience with manufacturing processes like composite layup, CNC machining, and bonded assemblies.

-- Background in high-speed aerostructures, dynamic loading, and vibration testing.
